Do you own property in Dubai or thinking of buying? Make sure your assets are protected by putting in place a DIFC Property Will.

It is a common misconception that estate planning is only relevant to the mega wealthy and famous. If you own property in the Emirate of Dubai and/or Ras Al Khaimah, or are in the process of buying property in either of these two Emirates, in order to ensure that your property passes in accordance with your wishes on death, it is important to implement a Will.

For property owners in Dubai and/or Ras Al Khaimah, the DIFC Wills and Probate Registry (DIFC WPR) facilitates the registration of common law Wills for non-Muslims over the age of 21, that are specific to real estate property only known as a “Property Will”.

  • Limited to 5 real estate properties (or a share in 5 real estate properties) in sole or joint names.
  • Provisions to appoint Executors and Beneficiaries.
  • Available for UAE residents and non-residents.
  • Online Virtual Registry available to facilitate registration for non-residents.

The DIFC WPR also provides for the registration of a Full Will, Guardianship Will, Financial Assets Will, and Free Zone Company Will.
