Introduction

Until recently a remote and under-developed part of Dubai, Motor City has really come into its own over recent years and is now home to a number of famous sporting stars including Formula One’s Jenson Button. It’s a modern residential neighborhood with a heavy focus on sports and cars, adjacent to Studio City and Arabian Ranches.

The area comprises motorsports themed centers, townhouses, business blocks and low rise apartment complexes. It’s quitter than many other of Dubai’s residential areas, so is becoming increasingly popular with families.

Location

Motor City is located off the Mohammed Al Zayed Road and Umm Suqeim Road, near District 12K.

Property Types

This is a gated community offering everything from low rise flats and bungalows to luxury terraced apartments and arge family homes.

Facilities and Amenities

This is a great area for anyone into motor sports- there are lots of carting facilities and leisure activities like laser tag. The main residential area includes recreational areas, parks and schools.

Sporting facilities include Dubai Autodrome and F1-X Dubai; a Formula One theme park.

The down side for many is the lack of nightlife and bars-there aren’t any here so if socialising is your thing you may want to consider one of the busier areas.

Suitable For

Motor City is particularly popular with young families with cars and those who enjoy sports and a slower pace of life, away from the hubbub of the city. It’s not so appealing to young executives or those who want to be close to the heart of the city.

Roads and Public Transport

Motor City is directly accessible via the E311 Mohammed Al Zayed Road and Umm Suqeim Road and connects to Media City, Tecom, Bursha and Mall of the Emirates. Public transport options aren’t great at the moment so you do need a car to get around, but there are plans for better links to the metro coming soon.
