New Set of Guidelines for Dubai Malls and Offices in Ramadan

2 MIN READ

The government has levied a new set of guidelines for Dubai Malls and offices to resume their operations in the holy month of Ramadan. This news has been well-received both by the shop owners and public. People now have a chance to buy their necessities rather conveniently

These instructions are applicable to everyone in the mall, from business owners to customers coming to shop. Needless to say, the purpose of following these instructions is to keep on observing precautionary measures in the interest of everyone’s safety. Let’s take a look at some of the most prominent ones

General Rules:

The government has recently taken the initiative to execute a plan for the reopening of the retail business sector. This is to happen in 4 stages. In the beginning days of Ramadan, they’ll execute phase 1 and see how things go. This is a great opportunity for owners to put up their shops for rent in Dubai and earn revenue. There are some basic necessary rules for everyone to follow. For example,

  •       The public and the staff of the malls need to wear masks at all times.
  •       Everyone will have only 3 hours to be in the mall whereas, the mall staff can open the mall for 10 hours.
  •       All visitors of the mall need to keep a minimum distance of at least 2 meters between each other.
  •       Kids below the age of 12 and people aged over 60 will be restricted from entering the malls.
  •       Malls can open for a duration of 10 hours only if they go through 24-hour sanitizations.
  •       Malls will also be providing a separate isolation room for any possible coronavirus cases.

Restaurants and F&B:

Any and all shops, bars, restaurants related to food and beverage will have to decrease their seating capacity. The government has issued clear rules that no two tables can be less than 6 feet apart. To make it fair for everyone, they’ve announced everyone will have to limit their seating capacity to no more than 30%. All outlets and restaurants need to follow these rules and mention the seating capacity on their doors.

Offices:

According to The Dubai Economy document’s guidelines, all offices in Dubai can only have employees working for 8 hours a day. No office can have anyone staying over late. Similarly, office meetings can only happen if the maximum number of people in the room is 5. Even in those meetings, it is necessary for people to keep a minimum distance of 2 meters.

This is a chance for Dubai’s malls to help make things easier for the public looking forward to the holy month of Ramadan. It is still unsure as to how the government will choose to proceed. Mostly, it depends upon the circumstances. For there to be continued openings, it is imperative that the people act responsibly and help prevent the spread of the virus. If everyone follows the rules and observes the necessary precautionary measures, it will help pave the way for more good news.
