Sarab 2 is the latest residential destination launched by Arada, a relatively new developer in the UAE. Located in Aljada, Sarab 2 is a garden villa community spread over a vast area of 24 M sq. ft. The firm witnessed a sales growth of 10% as compared to the last year. This increase in the number of sales is credited to the popularity of Nasma Residence and Aljada.

Chairman of Arada, Mr Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi believes that the performance of Sharjah property market, despite the tough circumstances due to COVID-19, is certainly encouraging. He also maintains that Sarab 2 was originally scheduled to be launched in Q4, 2020. However, due to the high-anticipation and increase in the demand for residential units in the other two prominent projects (Nasma Residence and Aljada), they were compelled to prepone the launch.

At the beginning of August 2020, Arada awarded a contract worth AED 423m for the construction of 2,000 units in the East Village Community. This marks the start of Aljada’s second phase. In the first phase, over 1,400 units are expected to be completed and handed over in Q3, 2020.

Earlier this year, Ruler of Sharjah and Supreme Council Member His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi launched ‘Madar’. Located in Aljada, it is a family entertainment venue that has received over 300,000 visitors till now. This venue features numerous attractions including the Aljada Discovery Centre, Playscape (an adventure playground for children), Zad (a popular food district), a skatepark, an outdoor amphitheatre, and a drive-in cinema. The cinema was launched at the start of July and since then, over 8.000 visitors have enjoyed movie screenings here. The success of this project is also said to have influenced the sales figures in the community.
